Welcome back, old friend
Fringe has been marked as content arriving with the mid-season update. Although a specific date is yet to be confirmed, Season 04 Reloaded should arrive around the end of June or the beginning of July.
The remaster takes players to the Rolling Hills distillery opening event, surrounded by a variety of buildings, the narrow lane that is the Loading Route, and of course, the iconic Barn that oversees it all. However, it won’t feel like the Fringe fans remember due to the absence of a major factor, there are no jetpacks in Black Ops 6. Leave the wall running and peeking over the barn behind and navigate Fringe with boots on the ground.

As the wait continues for Fringe to join the Black Ops 6 map pool, three new maps will make their debuts at the beginning of Season 04. Shutdown and Fugitive are designed for 6v6 combat, while Blitz is a fresh Strike map for 6v6 and 2v2 battles.
Shutdown is set in a hydroelectric plant in Iceland, built on volcanic terrain, with a body of swimmable water running down the left side of the map. The main fight will take place in and around the central building containing a broken down Turbine.
As for Fugitive, this is also set in Iceland and is the location where Stitch has been imprisoned until Adler rallies him for an emergency operation. The power is out in this secret CIA black site and there are opportunities to take shortcuts to the various outside areas including the Checkpoint, Courtyard, and Recreation Yard. Expect to use ziplines to navigate the compound and pounce on your opponents.
Blitz follows on from the Fugitive setting. Traffic comes to a standstill as Pantheon reinforcements race toward the prison, but end up ambushed by the Rogue team. The main source of action is a central Bridge, with numerous wrecked vehicles acting as cover. Move underneath the bridge to hunt down enemies at the Cliffside or the Waterfall.
A map named Eclipse will also become playable with the Black Ops 6 mid-season update, but this underground nightclub is certain to be overshadowed by the return of Fringe.
