One Easter Egg on the Terminus map in Black Ops 6 Zombies that players will likely do every single game is the quest to build the free Beamsmasher Wonder Weapon. The process of getting this new devastating weapon is pretty straightforward but there is one step that requires players to solve some algebra. This can be a hard step and if you don’t want to to spend Essence to get the answer, allow me to break down how to solve these equations. This guide will show players how to solve the Terminus Math Puzzle in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
How to Solve the Terminus Math Puzzle in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Progress through the Beamsmasher Easter Egg until you reach the point where you get the Multiphasic Resontaor item and plug it into the machine in the Research Office. At this point, you will need to find 3 laptops placed around the central island and turn them on. You can locate these laptops in any order and must note down what symbol is displayed on the screen and the letter next to it. These symbols will change every game of Terminus so you will need to do this every time you play the map.
To find the “first “Y” laptop, go to the Storage Area outside the Interrogation Rooms, the area where the Quick Revive Perk Machine is. Hold the interact button to turn on the laptop.
The “Z” computer is found outside the Control Center building, the room where you find the Armory and Stamin-Up machine.
The final laptop has an “X” next to it and is found at the top of the stairs in the Docks area, under the Sea Tower.
With all the symbols now displayed, go back to the Research Office and look at the whiteboards in the back left corner of the room. There are several symbols drawn on a chart on the left board. Find the symbols that appeared on the computers on the board and then combine the numbers of the column and row that the symbol is lined up with and that will give you their value. In my game used for the images in my guide, these were my values:
- x = 20
- y = 0
- z= 11
You will then need to do some algebra and plug these numbers into the equations written on the right whiteboard. Luckily these equations are the same in every game of Terminus.
- 2x + 11
- (2z + y) – 5
- | (y + z) – x |
This is all pretty straightforward math, especially in the first two equations. For the first equation, multiply your x value by 2 and then add 11. For the second equation, multiply the z value by 2 then add your y value. Take that solution and subtract 5 to find the second number. The final equation might be where some players who haven’t practiced math in a while might be tripped up. The “|” symbols on both sides of the equation mean that you must find the Absolute Value. This means that if you get a negative number from the equation, ignore the negative symbol. If it’s a positive solution, then you don’t need to do any additional work and that’s just your answer. So, you would need to add y and z together and then take that solution and subtract the x value. Find the Absolute Value of this solution to get the third and final number in the code.
This number will be different in every game, but the process of finding the answer is the same. I will break down my solution and you can plug your numbers into the work to find your answer.
- 2(20) + 11
- 40 + 11 = 51
- (2(11) + 0) – 5
- 22 – 5 = 17
- | (0 + 11) – 20 |
- | 11 – 20 |
- | -9 | = 9
My Solution is 51 – 17 – 09.
