Citadelle Des Morts, the third map in Black Ops 6 Zombies, doesn’t come with just one new Wonder Weapon but instead 4 unique elemental swords that can acquired through Easter Egg quests. One of these weapons is called Durendal, the Stag’s Lightning Sword and to get it, players will need to know how to imbue the basic Bastard Sword with the power of the storm. This guide will show players how to get Durendal, the Stag’s Lightning Sword Wonder Weapon on Citadelle Des Morts in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
How to Get the Durendal Lightning Sword Wonder Weapon on Citadelle Des Morts
To get the Lightning Sword, you will first need to get the Bastard Sword held by the Stag Knight. Gameranx has a full guide on how to get the Bastard Sword Wonder Weapon but we will give the simplified breakdown here. Activate the Pack-a-Punch machine and progress to Round 10. At this point, some Zombies will spawn with a Templar helmet on their head and will drop the Stamp item upon their death. Take a Stamp to the Dining Hall to find 4 Suits of Armor holding swords. Interacting with one of the suits of armor with a Stamp and they will give you their sword. The Stag Knight is the southwest armor.
Now that you have the Bastard Sword the Stag Knight, you will need to find Lightning Rods hidden around the map. There are a total of 3 Rods that can be found in any order, two of which can be picked up before you even get the Bastard Sword.
The first Lightning Rod is found on the Nature Path to the right of the spawn room, Town Square. Go to the Deadshot Daquiri Perk Machine and look to the left. The Lightning Rod is leaning against the crate. Hold the interact button to pick up the Lightning Rod.
The next Lightning Rod is in the Upper Village area. You will need to get the Dead Wire Ammo Mod on one of your weapons and then find the electric box on the sloped path to the right of the Speed Cola Perk Machine. Shoot this box with your Dead Wire weapon to send a spark through the wiring and knock the Lightning Rod off the antenna on the roof of the building. You can then pick up the Lightning Rod off the ground next to the fuse box.
The last Lightning Rod can be found by picking up the Stag Knight’s Bastard Sword and going to the Dungeon room. An Armored Zombie with the Lightning Rod sticking out from his torso will spawn. Kill this Zombie and the Rod will drop to the ground, allowing you to pick it up.
With all Lightning Rods acquired, go to the Hilltop Rampart right outside the room with the Electric Cherry Perk Machine. There is a machine that you can place the 3 Rods in by interacting with it. When all the Rods are inserted, a storm will surround the area.
Stand in the storm and kill Zombies until your sword is struck by lightning and is charged with electricity. When this happens, melee the Lightning Rods. Do this a total of 3 times and get all the Rods electrified.
When all the rods are charged, press the interact button on the machine to put the sword into the pedestal, and after a brief animation, the Bastard Sword will become Durendal. Still retaining the base version of the sword’s parry ability, its melee attack becomes more powerful and also gets the Dead Wire Ammo Mod. Now hitting Zombies with this sword allows you to activate the Ammo Mod. It also comes with a powerful Special Attack. When the sword is fully lit and the stag on the hilt glows, press both triggers to shoot a powerful beam of electricity at any enemy in front of you.
