Every month, Pokémon Go Trainers can participate in a Community Day and February is no different. There are a whole host of rewards up for grabs and, of course, a plethora of opportunities to encounter the featured Pokémon which are Karrablast and Shelmet.
Karrablast, the Clamping Pokémon, and Shelmet, the Snail Pokémon are taking center stage with the February Community Day, taking place on February 9, 2025, from 2pm to 5pm local time.

- Karrablast and Shelmet will appear more frequently in the wild and lucky Trainers may encounter a Shiny
Featured Attack
Evolve Karrablast from the beginning of the event until February 16, 2025, at 10pm local time to get an Escavalier that knows the Charged Attack Razor Shell:

- Trainer Battles: 35 power
- Gyms and raids: 55 power
Evolve Shelmet from the beginning of the event until February 16, 2025, at 10pm local time to get an Accelgor that knows the Charged Attack Energy Ball:
Energy Ball
- Trainer Battles: 90 power
- Gyms and raids: 90 power
Community Day Special Research
For US$2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency,) gain entry to the Karrablast and Shelmet Community Day exclusive Special Research. Complete this research to earn rewards such as:
- Two encounters each with Karrablast and Shelmet with Dual Destiny–themed Special Backgrounds
- More encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet
- Premium Battle Pass
- Rare Candy XL
Community Day Special Background Timed Research
This Timed Research will last for a week following the event. Those that log in during the February Community Day will receive Timed Research that awards the following upon completion:
- One encounter each with Karrablast and Shelmet that have a Dual Destiny–themed Special Background
- Increased chance to encounter Shiny Karrablast and Shiny Shelmet
Event Bonuses
All bonuses are active during the three hour event, with some exceptions:
- 3x XP for catching Pokémon
- 2x Candy for catching Pokémon
- 2x chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day (active from 2pm to 10pm local time)
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust (active from 2pm to 10pm local time)
Field Research
Catch Karrablast and Shelmet to earn rewards including:
- Stardust
- Great Balls
- More encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet
Event Bundles
Two Community Day bundles will go live during this event:
- For 1,350 PokéCoins, you will get 50 Ultra Balls, five Super Incubators, one Elite Charged TM, and five Lucky Eggs
- For 480 PokéCoins, you will get 30 Ultra Balls, one Incense, three Super Incubators, and one Lure Module
