Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants starts with a puzzle that leads into a whole new secret catacomb zone beneath the Vatican. This puzzle is built into a mural of an ancient map of the Mediterranean Sea. Players will need to know how to solve this puzzle to really start the DLC story. How to Complete the Mediterranean Map Mural Puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants
Once you make your way into Villa Pia and start the Adventure quest officially, go to the west end of the first floor to find a large mural depicting a map on the back wall. This is the map that the puzzle is built into.
Walk up to the map mural and look in the bottom left corner to find a scroll drawn on the map with some writing on it. Take a picture of the writing and Indy will comment on the writing, allowing you to progress further into the puzzle
At the right end of the mural are several cities drawn on the map. Each of these cities has small slots beneath them, one of which you will need to put a key item into to finish the puzzle. Take a picture of these cities to progress.
Now that you’ve seen both the writing and the cities, go back to the scroll on the wall, and you will be given a prompt to interact with it. Press the interact button, and Indy will hit the wall, revealing a secret compartment.
There are two small figurines in the open compartment. The one on the left is the Pope Figurine and the other is the Crusader Figurine. Pick up the Pope Figurine and place it on Rome on the map, labeled as Sancta Sedes. Now, take the Crusader Figurine and put it in the slot that is below the city of Antioch at the right end of the map, labeled Antiochnem.
When both figurines are placed in the correct spot, a secret passage will open in the center of the mural, bringing the Mediterranean Map Mural puzzle to an end!
