Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Fountain Of Confession Puzzle Guide

In the final stretch of the Vatican City main story in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, players will need to find a hidden part of the Vatican that can only be accessed by those of a special order. This means players will need to go to the Fountain of Confession and complete an extensive puzzle to enter this highly secretive area of the city. This puzzle has a lot of steps that might leave players stuck. Luckily, I can provide the assistance that any player might need to reveal the fountain’s secrets and continue the journey under the Vatican streets. This guide will show players how to solve the Fountain of Confession puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

How to Complete the Fountain Of Confession Puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

The Fountain of Confession puzzle is part of The Stolen Cat Mummy Adventure quest and is found after completing the Tower of Nicholas V part of the Adventure. After you deliver the parchment found in the catacombs back to Father Antonio, go to the southwest corner of Vatican City to find the fountain. Take a photo at the front of the fountain to get the Fountain of Confession Note for the Adventure.

On the left and right sides of the fountain with dragon statues on top of them. You can take pictures of the writings on these towers to learn hints on how to use these dragons to open the fountain. Taking pictures of these plaques will also unlock the Left Tower Inscription and Right Tower Inscription Notes.

Once you’ve taken photos of the towers, go to the left of the fountain and open the chest to find the Fountain Gate Key. Use this key to open the gate to the right of the chest and go through the interior until you reach the top. Climb out the window to reach the top of the towers.

Once on top of the towers, you will need to rotate both dragons to face the center of the fountain. The white dragon on the left is missing its claw and can be found on the scaffolding to the left of the statue. Drop down and pick up the claw. Once you do, a cutscene will play that sees Gina Lombardi appear and start to help you through the rest of the Adventure.

Climb back to the top of the tower, put the claw in the white statue, and then turn it. This will reveal a lever on the side of the statue. use the lever to rotate the dragon to face the fountain’s center.

Swing across the gap between the tower with your whip to reach the black dragon. Turn the claw to reveal the lever and rotate the dragon to the fountain’s center.

Once both the dragons are facing the center of the fountain, the dragon sitting in the fountain will turn around and reveal a ring on its back. Use your whip to pull the ring to get the wall to spin around and reveal a mausoleum. Take a picture of this to get the Fountain Gate Note.

There is now a large lever in the fountain that can be used to rotate the mausoleum. On the left and right sides of the structure are puzzles that must be solved to complete this puzzle. Pull the lever to the left to reveal The Baptism part of the puzzle. Take a photo of it to get the Note.

You will need to move a few statues around to pour water into a bath. Go to the statue of the boy on the left and push it as far right as you can. Then, take the taller statue of the map with the pot and pull it all the way to the right. Pull the ring above the statue with your whip to pour water into the pot. Push the statue all the way to the left to pour water into the bath and complete this puzzle. This will move one of the statues guarding the front of the mausoleum.

Go back to the lever and pull it to the right to reveal the Ark of Bulrushes. Take a photo of it to get the Note.

You will need to move a few rings around to create a horizontal path for a small boat to travel from the left end to the right end of the wall. This can only be done by getting the wooden blocks out of the way and then moving the rings into the correct locations here is a breakdown of the best way to do this:

• Turn the inner rings once to the right or left to get the other block of wood into the center. This will link the inner and middle rings together until this block is removed.
• Turn the inner ring twice in the opposite direction that you moved the ring originally to get the block to drop out of the rings and allow all of them to move freely.
• Turn the outer ring once to the left. Turn the middle ring once to the right.
• Turn the center ring to make a T to have the central block of wood drop out of the ring.
• This will create a clear path for the boat to go left to right.

Once this is done, use your whip to pull the left ring to get the boat ready to sail and then pull the right ring to send it on its way. If the path is clear, it will sail all the way to the right and complete this puzzle, moving the other statue guard out of the way at the front of the structure.

With the guards out of the way, push the statue in front of the mausoleum through the now unlocked gate. Once at the center of the structure, it will reveal a spiral staircase leading down into a secret chamber. This will complete the Fountain of Confession puzzle.
