Throughout the story of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, players will get to find new cosmetics for each of the playable characters in the form of Outfits and Haircuts. Being able to mix and match these clothes and hairstyles gives players the chance to create new looks for each of the members of the Expedition. Maelle is arguably the most important character in the game, and because of that, she has some of the most varied looks in the game. This means tracking them all down might be a challenge, so allow me to help! This guide will show players where to find all Outfits and Haircuts for Maelle in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
All Maelle Outfits and Haircuts in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Skirt
This Outfit can be found in The Manor via the door found in Stone Wave Cliffs. Go past the Old Farm region near the Expedition Flag of the same name. Stick to the right path, and you will find a hole in the ground and another golden rope. At the bottom of the rope, you will need to fight a Chevaliere enemy. Behind this enemy is the Manor door. There is a wardrobe in the room you are teleported to. Open it and you will get this Outfit.

Fight the merchant and defeat them to gain access to the Obscur Outfit, which you can now buy for 5,000 Chroma.

Pure
The Pure Outfit is a reward for completing the Grandis Fashionist’s poems in Monoco’s Station. After recruiting Monoco, go back to the train station where you fought him, and you will find a large Grandis creature with a bright red beret with a pondering look. Talk to him as Maelle to start his poems.
Here is the breakdown for all the poems when playing as Maelle:
- Life is but a fleeting dream, a whisper in the night: While shadows fade to silence, gone beyond our sight.
- Through the veil of shadows, life’s mysteries are spun: Death untangles threads, revealing what’s begun.
- Life dances on the edge of time, a flicker in the breeze: Eternity then cradles us, a promise to appease.
Once you’ve successfully answered all the poems, you will get the Pure Outfit.

Real Maelle
This Outfit is automatically unlocked at the start of Act III.

Swimsuit
Maelle’s Swimsuit is a reward on the Gestral Beach found to the southeast of Sirene. You will need Esquie’s Fly ability to reach this beach. Once here, you will need to climb a wall as fireballs try to hit you. When you reach the top, talk to the Grandis and they will give you this Outfit.

Defeat the Mime to get Maelle’s Baguette Outfit.

The Manor Family Canvas can be found in The Canvas zone, found in the northeast corner of the overworld. This area is marked on the map with a painting frame icon. You can only reach after unlocking Esquie’s Fly ability at the start of Act III. Once Esquie learns Fly, go to the floating island at the location marked on the map to find the entrance to The Canvas. Follow the lone path in this area to find the canvas.

When interacting with the Canvas, you will have the option to take it. Select “Yes” to add the painting to your inventory.

Once you have the Canvas, go into The Manor via any entrance and then go to the Expedition Flag in the foyer of the building. Go up the right staircase to find an empty painting frame. Interact with it to put the Canvas in the frame. This will unlock the door on the opposite end of the dining hall.

Go into the Painting Room and look to the right of the giant canvas to find this Outfit on the ground.
