There are several side quests for you to complete during your journey to the Paintress in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and one of the earlier ones you can come across is for Richard in Lumiere. This mission will see a man named Richard preparing for his death ask you to deliver a gift to his son. This mission can be missed and has an exclusive reward you won’t be able to get if you miss it. This guide will show players how to give Richard’s son his Father’s gift in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – How to Give Richard’s Son His Father’s Gift
The Gift to Richard’s Son quest can only be completed during Lumiere, the game’s prologue chapter. If you leave the city and start Act I: Gustave, you won’t be able to do this quest without starting a new game. While playing as Gustave and Sophie, make your way to the city plaza with the large fountain in the middle. Go around the fountain and you will find Richard before you find the Expedition display. He tells you that he will also be having his Gommage today and hopes that Gustave can give his son a gift he made for him: an Expeditioner Uniform.

After the Gommage commences, you will arrive at the Festival de l’Expedition. Standing near the stairs that lead down to the docks is a young boy wearing read. This is Jules, Richard’s son. Talk to him to deliver his father’s gift.

After a short conversation, Jules tells Justave to keep the uniform because he believes that he won’t need it since Expedition 33 will bring an end to the Paintress. He would rather his father’s work be used instead of being wasted on him. This will unlock the Crimson Uniform Outfit for Gustave to wear. You can equip it by going into the menu and selecting Gustave. Once in his profile, go over to Wardrobe to change the character’s appearance.

You can now deliver Richard’s gift to his son and unlock the Crimson Uniform Outfit in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Stay tuned to Gameranx for more news, updates, and guides for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 as well as other great games in the future.
