The Lakeview Hotel is the final major location in Silent Hill 2 Remake and just like its original version, it revolves all around fairy tales. The remake has revamped some of the puzzles surrounding these storybook figures, with one of the new puzzles involving a broken mirror. How to Solve the Lakeview Hotel Mirror Puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake
The Mirror Puzzle in Lakeview Hotel is found in Room 202, which requires both the Sunshine Wing Key and Room 202 Key to enter. To find the former, head to the Utility Room on the first floor. Go to the right of the Lobby and then all the way to the south end of the hallway to find this room. The Sunshine Wing Key sits on a table along the wall opposite the entrance of the room.
Head back to the Lobby and go up the staircase to reach the 2nd Floor. Go to the door to the right of the stairs and unlock the door to enter the Sunshine Wing. Once through the door, immediately turn left and jump over the counter into the Cloakroom. Go through the door on the left side of this room to enter the Hall. Directly to the left of the door is a couch which is where you will find the Room 202 Key.
Now that we can enter the room with the Mirror Puzzle, we need to get one last item before heading there. There are two Apples found at the Lakeview Hotel with you needing to use one of them for the puzzle. You are free to pick either one, but I’ll show you where to find both. Luckily, the first one is in the same room as the Room 202 Key. Go to the southwest corner of the Hall to find the Ripe Apple.
To find the Rotten Apple, go back to the entrance of the Lakeview Hotel and head out into the hotel’s Garden. Take the path that goes southeast corner of the area to find the Rotten Apple sitting on a bench.
Now it’s time to actually complete the Mirror Puzzle. Go back to the 2nd Floor and go to the southeast corner of the Sunshine Wing. Head into Room 202 to find a small table and a shattered mirror. You will need to fix the mirror by putting all the shards back in their right place. Before starting, go into the side room that has a bed inside. The final shard can be found here.
Each shard of glass can be rotated until it lines up with a specific part of the mirror. Here is the full breakdown of each shard.
- Shard #1: Rotate three times and place in the leftmost space.
- Shard #2: Rotate three times and place in the center space.
- Shard #3: Rotate once and place in the top right space.
- Shard #4: Rotate twice and place in the right space.
- Shard #5: Rotate twice and place in the bottom space.
- Shard #6: Rotate twice and place in the final space.
With the mirror repaired, put the Apple of your choice on the place and the puzzle will be completed.
Go in Room 201 to find the Snow White Figurine which will be needed to complete the Music Box Puzzle.
