How to Solve the Brookhaven Hospital Nurses Station Keypad Code in Silent Hill 2 Remake
The Nurses’ Station is found on the 2nd Floor of the Brookhaven Hospital which can be reached after opening the Reception Office padlock and fixing the hospital’s generator. Take the elevator up to the 2nd Floor and a cutscene will play that sees Maria get sick. While she rests in one of the rooms, you are left to explore the hospital alone.
Go through the doors in front of James once the cutscene ends and go forward until you find the first Bubble Head Nurse enemy. Once the enemy is dead, go to the northwest corner of the room to find two doors. The left door leads to the Nurses’ Station and is where you will find the Keypad. Pinned to the glass to the left of the keypad is a note that says the following:
“The code has been reset to what we agreed on during yesterday’s meeting in the doctor’s lounge. Like I said, I don’t want anyone writing it down on little pieces of paper for me to find. Be responsible, people.”
This will point you toward the Doctor’s Lounge on the 1st Floor but getting to the part of the building with this room requires a key to access.
From the Nurses’ Station Keypad, go south until you reach the Director’s Office. Take the western hallway and then go north once at the west end of the floor. Once at the north end of the hallway, turn right to find a staircase.
Go up the staircase and then turn left twice and then go left one more time at the end of the hallway. Once at the south end of this hall, smash the glass to enter Exam Room 4. Pass through the X-Ray Room and go through the other door in the room to reach Exam Room 5. Sitting on the desk is the 1F Inner Ward Key.
Go back to the 1st Floor Lobby and take the hallway to the north. At the end of the hall is a locked door that can be opened with the 1F Inner Ward Key. Once through the door, take a right and go to the end of the hall. Along the right side of the hall is the door to the Doctor’s Lounge. Go inside and look for a corkboard on the wall. There is a note pinned here that tells you the code for the keypad but it will change depending on the Puzzle Difficulty you’re playing on.
The Light and Standard Difficulty are the same, with the note displaying 9 circles set up in the formation of a number pad. A red line runs diagonally from the top right to the bottom left before going to the right. This tells you what numbers to press for the code. When on Hard Difficulty, there is a tik-tak-toe game on the note that has reached the point that neither player can win. A red line that runs through the X in the bottom left, left center, and center spots as well as the empty right center. All the spots the red line touches are the numbers you need to press for the code.

Return to the Nurses’ Station Keypad and enter the code that matches whichever Puzzle Difficulty you’re on and the door will unlock. The Nurses’ Station has some ammo inside but the main reason you want to open this keypad is to go through the other door in the Nurses’ Station to reach the Treatment Room. This is the location for the Moldy Radiograph which will be needed to complete the X-Ray Puzzle on the 3rd Floor.
