Where to Find the Radio in Silent Hill 2 Remake
The location that you find the radio is one of the things that the remake changes from the original even though you can find its original spawn location very early. Make your way past the graveyard and go through Silent Hill Ranch. At the end of the path that is behind the door that must be unlocked with the Auto Parts key is the small tunnel blocked by wooden boards. This is the location where you found the radio in the 2001 original but now it is a Glimpse of the Past which is a collectible that references things from the original game that have been changed in the remake. To find the radio, you will need to make your way into Silent Hill proper.
Follow the path to the right of the tunnel and go under the bridge. Go down Wiltse Road until you reach Sanders Street and then go west. Go down the road until you reach Lindsey Street and then go north. Go up Lindsey Street until you reach the cutscene with the Lying Figure. Follow the monster into the fog and then follow the bloodstains on the street until they lead to an alleyway and into a backyard behind one of the houses.
Go through the door in the blue fence and continue to follow the Lying Figure. Once you enter another alley, crawl through a hole in a small building on the left. Inside this building is where you’ll find the radio sitting on a chair. Be prepared to find the Lying Figure that you’ve been chasing once the cutscene of James picking up the radio ends.
The radio will emit static whenever a monster is close so make sure to listen to it so the creatures of Silent Hill don’t get the drop on you. If you are in a dark area and turn off the radio (and eventually the flashlight you get later), you can sneak by enemies but it is risky so disable the radio at your own risk. You can turn off the radio in your Inventory.
