How to Solve the Jacks Inn Safe Code in Silent Hill 2 Remake
Jacks Inn is found in the west side of South Vale area which you will reach after meeting Maria in Rosewater Park. The safe is in the Reception Office in the northeast corner of the inn. To find the code, you will need to go to the second floor of the building on the west side of the inn and go into Room 108. Break through the window to climb into the room and then break down a weak wall to squeeze through the wall into the next room, 108. Sitting on the desk is a note with a riddle that will tell you the code.
The code will change depending on your Puzzle Difficulty with Light and Standard being the same code while Hard has its own unique riddle and code. Here are the riddles and the solutions for each difficulty:
- Light and Standard Difficulty: “one, one less, three, one more, eight, three less, zero, one more.”
- 1-1 = 0 | 3+1 = 4 | 8-3 = 5 | 0+1 = 1
- Answer: 0451
- 1-1 = 0 | 3+1 = 4 | 8-3 = 5 | 0+1 = 1
- Hard Difficulty: “feels like we’re stuck, she says it’s gonna be fine, but the math don’t lie, the numbers are all there: ALL ROOMS need to be refurnished, then we gotta MULTIPLY that by the cost of labor, then there’s the plumbing in the ROOMS UPSTAIRS. I swear, there are TIMES when I just wanna give up, I’m not THIRTY THREE anymore, if we can’t mak it all ADD up, maybe there’s hope for the FIVE of us. XXXX.”

Go back to the safe in the Reception Office and input the code that corresponds to your Difficulty. Inside is the Gate Key to unlock the chainlink fence in the southeast corner of the inn. This will progress you down the critical path so make sure you explore the west side of South Vale before moving on.
