How to Beat the Pyramid Head Boss Fight in Silent Hill 2 Remake
This battle is found behind the door with an “S” carving in it which leads to the courtyard of the Blue Creek Apartments. The fight with Pyramid Head isn’t really a fight at all as you don’t need to do any damage to the boss to win. This is a timed boss battle, which means all you need to do is survive for a certain amount of time to complete it.
You will need to survive for about 3 minutes. You can make this time shorter by doing damage to Pyramid Head, though we suggest just staying away and saving your ammo. The arena is filled with metal cages and other debris which you can use to keep your distance from the boss. The monster has several different attacks which include a massive overhead slam and horizontal swings, both of which can do massive damage that will almost instantly kill you with a single blow.
The boss also has a quick shove move that is harder to dodge compared to the slower but hard-hitting sword attacks. There are also a few combo attacks that you must look out for. As the fight progresses, Pyramid Head will start to move faster and destroy some of the debris to stop you from using them to keep them away. Your best approach to this fight is to stay away, but if you do get close to the boss, utilize your dodge and quickly put distance between the two of you.
After the allotted time, the iconic siren synonymous with the series will start to sound. Once this happens, Pyramid Head will make his way to the heavy metal doors. A cutscene will start where the boss will break the doors open and leave the area, giving you a path out of the boss arena and the Blue Creek Apartments.
