Silent Hill 2 Remake has 44 Achievements and Trophies to unlock while exploring this reimaging of the classic 2001 horror title. While it might appear that the first Achievement that you can get is for entering the titular town, there is actually a secret one found within seconds of starting the game. This Achievement or Trophy is called “No Turning Back Now” and is unlocked for trying to leave Silent Hill in the Observation area. How to Get the No Turning Back Now Trophy in Silent Hill 2 Remake
Upon starting a new game and concluding the opening cutscene, you will take control of James at the Observation Area in the South Vale part of Silent Hill. You will be looking out over Toluca Lake between the bathroom and your car. Walk over the the street and face the bathroom. From here, turn right and look up the road away from the car. This leads away from the town but is the direction you need to go to get this Achievement.
Start walking up the road past the bathroom. Just keep going until James stops and turns around on his own. You can’t go any further than this point but reaching this edge of the map will unlock the “No Turning Back Now” Achievement or Trophy. Unfortunately, there isn’t any special or joke ending here like some other games have at the start of their opening sequences, but since Silent Hill 2 Remake has a total of 8 endings with 2 of them being completely new to this reimaging an additional one here isn’t exactly needed. While there isn’t an ending at least you now have this Achievement which could possibly be the first of many that you will unlock over the course of your stay in Silent Hill.
