Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater takes players back to where it all began in the Metal Gear timeline. With this being the earliest point in the famed franchise’s timeline, players know that any characters that appear in future games will make it to the end of the story. But a classic Easter Egg from the 2004 original remains intact with this 2025 remake. Major Ocelot gets beaten several times during this story but is never killed. However, there is a moment when players can kill an unconscious Ocelot before he ever has a chance to brandish a Revolver. Doing this would mean the events of Metal Gear Solid would never happen, meaning that Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater would have never been made, creating a Time Paradox. Players that want to shatter space and time while also getting an Achievement and Trophy will need to know how and where to eliminate Ocelot. This guide will show players how to create a Time Paradox in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
How to Create a Time Paradox in Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
The Time Paradox occurs if you kill Ocelot during the Virutous Mission. This can be done after meeting with Ocelot for the first time. This happens after making your way through the Rassvet zone and going to the northeast corner of the ruined factory found in the area. You will find Sokolov in the room in the corner of the warehouse. After a cutscene where Snake and Sokolov meet, the Ocelot Unit and their leader, Major Ocelot, will appear. Snake will take down the entire squad during this cutscene, leaving them all unconscious.

When you reenter gameplay, all of the soldiers, as well as Ocelot, will be knocked out throughout the area. Find Ocelot’s unconscious body and use any lethal weapon to kill him. Since Ocelot is an important character in future Metal Gear Solid games, he cannot die here. This means you will get a game-over screen where Colonel Campbell from the other Metal Gear games will tell you that you created a Time Paradox and the “Ocelot is Dead” text will slowly turn into the text “Time Paradox.” When you do this for the first time, you will unlock the “Time Paradox” Achievement and Trophy.
