The train has been around for multiple Fortnite seasons now, travelling around the map and making brief stops at various stations. Historically, it hasn’t been one of the most popular places to land, unless it became part of a quest. Previously, it housed a special kind of loot crate that contained rare loot and healing items. However, Chapter 6 Season 2 has made the train more valuable by placing a vault on board.

How to access the train vault in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2
The first step to entering the train vault is destroying the turrets that are defending the vault door on the roof of the train. By taking down a turret, you’ll be able to grab the Thermite that is hiding inside and plant it on the vault door. Before doing so, it’s recommended that you destroy all the turrets that are on the roof of the train because they will continuously shoot at you. Although there are no guards to fight off while you’re waiting for the Thermite to crack open the vault, the turrets lay down a whole lot of damage.
When the vault door opens, the train will come to a grinding halt and this is when the guards will spawn to try and defend the valuable contents of the vault. The train vault is small in size, so it shouldn’t take too long to add its contents to your inventory before making your great escape. Also, expect enemy players to be hot on your heels, attempting to intercept all your hard work.
Similar to other vaults around the Fortnite island in Chapter 6 Season 2, the train vault contains high tier loot, Dill Bits to spend at Black Markets, and plenty of Gold Bars.
