While traveling through the streets of Ebisugaoka in Silent Hill f, players will have the chance to explore optional paths and even backtrack through the desolate town to discover secrets that can provide items to help survive the nightmare and also learn the secrets buried deep in this twisted story. One of these optional quests allows players can go back to the Igarashi Residence, the home where Hinako first meets Sakuko, and open their mailbox. This can be done by getting a specific key from a shrine near the mountains and then returning to town to open their mail and learn more about Hinako’s best friend. Doing this will provide some lore but also unlock the “A Federal Offense” Achievement and Trophy. Players will want to know where to find the key and how to open the mailbox to get the documents inside and unlock this Achievement. How to Unlock the “A Federal Offense” Achievement in Silent Hill f
You will first need to get the Key to Sakuko’s Mainbox, which can be found at the Igarashi Shrine near the northeast corner of town. You will be able to do this during your second visit to Ebisugaoka after completing the Shrine Path, the first Otherworld section of the game. Once you’re back in Ebisugaoka and are tasked to head to Rinko’s house. Go northeast until you pass a hokora. Turn left to head up a north road. Follow this road all the way to the end to find a twisting path that leads up into the forest. At the end of this trail is the shrine. Look to the left of the roped-off entrance to the shrine to find the key on a rock.
Once you have the key, you need to head back to the southwest and into town to make your way to the Igarashi Residence. Follow the map shown in the first image below to get to Sakuko’s house. Head south down the road from the shrine and then go past the hokora. Then, go south and then west to return to the Chizuruya General Store. Take the road north of the store and then take a left to go west. Take a right to go north and then take the first right turn to go east. At the end of this small alley is the Igarashi Residence. Interact with the mailbox to the left of the door to get the Spider Omamori, which will greatly decrease weapon durability consumption from performing Light Attacks, and the Letter from the Hospital document. You will also unlock the “A Federal Offense” Achievement.
