Schedule 1 has proven to be the latest indie co-op hit, with players flocking in to try their hand at establishing their very own drug empire. When you arrive at Hyland Point, you have nothing to your name, apart from knowledge on how to produce and sell drugs. The game continues to get updates in the form of new content and bug fixes. Recently, the Pawn Shop and Blueball’s Boutique opened its doors, while a feature was added that allows you to interact with the inventory of your employees. The beta branch is the first place a Schedule 1 update will roll out on and if you want to access it, this guide will show you how.
Upcoming Schedule 1 updates will be tested first on the beta branch before they’re released into the full game. This gives the developer a chance to see how the changes will play out before shipping them into the game. If you want to try out the new content as soon as it lands, you can play the beta branch.

To access the beta branch of Schedule 1, all you have to do is:
- Open your Steam library
- Find Schedule 1 in your library and right-click on the game
- Click on Properties
- Go to the Beta tab
- From the Beta Participation drop-down menu, select the option that reads, “beta – hosts the beta version of Schedule 1. May be unstable.”
Be aware that switching to the beta version does put your existing save file at risk of being corrupted. Unless you’re dying to try out the latest updates, it’s always best to wait until they are officially released into the full game.
It is possible to switch back from the beta branch to the regular version of the game at any time by going back into the aforementioned beta tab and selecting “None” from the drop-down menu.
With plenty of Schedule 1 updates in the works, the beta branch may be something to keep an eye on.
