STALKER 2 just doesn’t end. You can spend dozens of hours exploring the starting region of the map — and it only gets longer from there. Fast travel is extremely limited, and most of your time playing will be slowly lugging around overencumbered inventories from one location to another, usually to sell or stash all your valuable stuff. Even if you’re rushing through the story, this is a very, very long game. And if you want to see how long it takes to beat one of the biggest open-world FPS games of all time, here’s our estimates. We’ll also show how many main missions there are, so you’ll know how close you are to the end.
How Long Is STALKER 2?

STALKER 2 is a long game — there are 34 main missions, 17 regions and dozens of unique locations to explore. Depending on how much you focus on the main objectives, you can get stuck in areas for dozens of hours. After talking to other players, we’ve agreed that an average playthrough takes about 70~ hours.
- Normal Playthrough: 70 hours. Includes some side-quests, exploration and artifact hunting.
- Quick Playthrough: 35 hours. Totally focused on completing main story objectives and nothing else.
The time also depends on your difficulty level. The higher the difficulty, the longer your adventure will be — a normal playthrough assumes you’ll play on normal difficulty. On easier difficulties, the time played can be cut down significantly.
