Ever wanted to defeat Tears of the Kingdom world bosses in a single attack? Forget about complicated weapon setups and random perks that’ll deal insane damage — those are too difficult to replicate, and you’ve got to be lucky to get the right combination of enhancements. This is a lot easier. Players are building a really, really big bomb. Here’s how to make your own giant barrel bomb autobuild.
As shared by u/Fvi72_K41U2 on Reddit, this Autobuild is one of the simplest and most effective contraptions we’ve seen yet. Instead of a complicated machine, this ‘Mega Barrel Bomb‘ hits the Autobuild limit and blows away even the toughest bosses. This thing can defeat Moldugas, Boss Bokoblins and even Battle Talos in a single explosion. And it only costs Zonaite to summon. Learn how to make your own mega bomb below.

How To Build The Giant Barrel Bomb Autobuild
The design as shared by the community is pretty much perfect but also doesn’t matter. The form factor of the giant barrel bomb is great, but you can put your bomb together however you want and still dish out crazy damage.
- Getting Barrel Bombs For The Autobuild:
- Travel to Calora Lake Cave (Faron Region) to find a giant collection of red barrel bombs. Check the screenshots for help finding this location.
- Reach the bottom level of the cave to encounter The Eldest Hinox Brother. Defeat it.
- With the enemies defeated, use Ultrahand to combine 21 bombs.
Be very careful when moving the barrels. Dropping a barrel from too high or swinging it too fast can cause an explosion. If you do accidentally destroy your giant bomb, you’ll need to wait until a Blood Moon. There are more than 21 bombs in the lower levels — you’ll find about 30~ barrels, so there’s room for a few mistakes.
- Building The Giant Bomb:
- The easiest way is to stack x3 bombs on top of each other. Make x7 stacks, then attach them together in a large cluster. Use one stack as the center, then six stacks around it.
- Once this is complete, you’ll be able to Autobuild this ‘device’ — generating the bomb cluster from scratch anytime on the field.
Building the bomb cluster costs 63 Zonaite — that’s a steep price, but Zonaite does respawn in the underground and is essentially a limitless resource. Save these big bombs for only the most annoying encounters.
What Is The Giant Barrel Bomb Useful Against?
The giant barrel bomb is extremely effective against large, powerful enemies — especially world bosses. Big dangerous enemies like Boss Bokoblins, Battle Talos and Molduga take extreme damage. These enemies will go down in a single bomb explosion.
You can also use it to soften up powerful enemies like Lynel, Gleeok and Gloom Ganon. These enemies can’t be killed in a single hit — but they’ll sustain huge damage, making defeating them a lot easier. If you’re still struggling against powerful enemies, there’s an extremely (and surprisingly powerful) trick you can use.
- Alternate Powerful Trick: Fuse Gibdo Bones + Arrows to deal massive damage to tough enemies. Stun them with Muddle Bud to make hitting the weak point easier.
For even more damage, launch Link into the sky and fire arrows while falling to activate slow-mo shots. This gives you way more time to deal insane damage to enemies like Lynel or Gleeok.
