When you drop into the Blackout menu for Black Ops 4, you’ll only have a handful of characters to choose from. There are three full palates of heroes from all three modes; Zombies, Multiplayer, and Classic Black Ops characters from the previous games. You can unlock them all, and it isn’t as easy as earning Echelon Levels. You’ll have to find specific secret items, then complete challenges.
Remember — it’s actually pretty easy to survive into the high rounds in Blackout. You’ll need to win in the top 15 for multiple characters, and that’s hardly a challenge if you’re playing with friends. Even when joining random players, you can stay alive just by playing it safe and completely avoiding high-traffic locations. Don’t go to named areas. Stay out of sight, or use a truck to drive around. It’s a whole lot safer than running, even if it’s a huge giveaway when there are people nearby.
