Fortnite’s most infamous villain, Midas, is back on the radar. The founder of the SHADOW company and the leader of GHOST first joined the battle royale in Chapter 2 Season 2, where he featured in the battle pass as a Tier 100 skin and appeared as an NPC boss. Now, Midas is back after managing to escape jail in The Underworld and he needs your help to escape Fortnite.
A series of quests have begun rolling out and there are an array of exclusive rewards up for grabs. As Midas is getting ready to dart towards freedom, he will leave behind free cosmetics to commemorate the chaos he’s unleashed.

Fortnite Rise of Midas schedule and rewards
The quests are split into five phases. Each phase will be available until the Rise of Midas event concludes. The challenges range from simply collecting gold bars, to putting up a fight with specific weapons against a powerful Olympian boss.
- Phase 1: Midas Rises – available now
- Phase 2: Et Tu, Brutus? – available March 20 at 9am ET
- Phase 3: Jules vs. the Golden Touch – available March 25 at 9am ET
- Phase 4: Myths of Midas – available March 27 at 9am ET
- Phase 5: The Great Marigold Yacht Heist – available March 28 at 9am ET
Once you’ve completed six quests, the Cerberus Medallion Spray will be added to your locker. For ticking 12 quests off the list, you’ll unlock the Rose of Avarice Back Bling which is black and gold. Finally, making it through 18 quests will unlock the Queen in Gold Glider.
The Rise of Midas questline will conclude on April 2, 2024, at 9am ET which is the deadline for completing all the challenges and helping Midas flee the Fortnite island.
