Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has a huge list of weapons that you can take into battle and also has a deep weapon customization system that can see players creating some pretty unique loadouts. While players can spend hours creating the weapon that fits them, many are going to want to know what makes a gun as powerful as it can possibly be. One such weapon is the Lachmann Sub, the SMG weapon of the Lachmann & Meer Weapon Platform, and the gun that many players will recognize as the classic MP5. A weapon with a clean iron sight, fast rate of fire, and manageable recoil that can kill just about anything if kept under control, this is definitely one of the best SMGs available in the game. This guide will provide a breakdown of one of the best loadouts for your Lachmann Sub MP5 SMG in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

Best Lachmann Sub MP5 Loadout In Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
The important thing to note is that the new attachment system in Modern Warfare 2 is different than previous installments that will require you to experiment with other weapons to really get the class that you want. As you are putting together your best Lachmann Sub build, just know that you will need to use a few other weapons to get the attachments they provide to make this loadout as strong as possible.
For the Muzzle, I would suggest the XTEN RR-40 Suppressor. This attachment is unlocked by using the PDSW 528 SMG and getting that weapon to Level 13. While this Silencer will take a hit to your ADS Speed as well as your Aim Stability, the long list of benefits makes it definitely worth it as it not only provides you with Sound Suppression which will make the weapon much quieter and your red dot won’t appear on the compass at the top of the screen when you shoot and will keep the recoil much more consistent and manageable by providing you with Recoil Smoothness. You will also get increased Damage Range and Bullet Velocity. We will use other attachments to lessen the effects since we still definitely want our ADS Speed to stay quick given we are going to mostly be in close-range engagements.
For the Barrel of the gun, I suggest using the FTAC M-Sub 12, unlock at Level 3 of the Lachmann Sub. Again, this will decrease your ADS Speed and both your Movement Speed and Hip Recoil Control, but we once again get a bonus to the Bullet Velocity and Damage Range as well as having improved Recoil Control and Hip Fire Accuracy. You can use the game’s weapon Tuning feature to decrease the effect the barrel has on your ADS Speed at the cost of some of your damage range and since we are using the XTEN to already give us a boost to the range, we can sacrifice a bit of it here to make sure our ADS doesn’t take too many hits.
For the Underbarrel, I suggest the FSS Sharkfin 90. Unlocked at Level 6 with the M4, this grip lacks negatives and improved Aiming Stability, giving you a more consistent sight placement when you are aiming. Similar to the FTAC barrel, you can Tune this attachment to improve your ADS Speed. This is a great choice as with the lack of negatives, you can use this attachment to also improve your ADS Speed. Our final 2 attachments are the Meer Recoil-56 Factory Stock and the Lachmann TCG-10. The former is a stock that is unlocked at Level 4 of the Lachman-762 and the latter is gained from the Lachmann-556 at Level 10. The Stock will provide increased Aiming Stability and Recoil Control with the added benefit of faster Sprint Speed to offset some of the movement penalties of the previous attachments while affecting your Aim Walking and Crouch Movement Speed along with the ADS Speed. The grip will give you better Recoil Control with less Aim Stability, which can be Tuned to increase your ADS Speed as well.
While these are great attachments that bring that greatly improve the Lachmann Sub, there are a few others that could also work to your benefit. You can also replace the Sharkfin Underbarrel Grip with the Merc Grip to increase your Hip Fire Accuracy, Recoil Steadiness, Hip Recoil Control, and Aim Walking Steadiness. This is unlocked by leveling the TAQ-V to Level 6. With all the talk of ADS Speed throughout this guide, I would also suggest considering the 1MW Quickfire Laser unlocked at Level 4 of the Lockwood 300 shotgun as it can be used to improve that all-important stat.
Finally, The 40 Round Magazine is also a great addition to any Lachmann Sub build that many players are using after its unlocked at Level 14 with the SMG. I would definitely consider using that Magazine but be aware that you will have a negative effect on your Movement Speed, ADS Speed, Reload Speed, and Sprint to Fire Speed. While these are definitely negatives to be aware of, the extra 10 bullets per Magazine can save your life if you find yourself flying around a corner and come face-to-face with a group of enemies. I would suggest not using the 50-Round Drum Mag as it takes all of the negatives of the 40-Round Mag and amplifies them.
