Scavenging for anything that can help you survive the horrors of the Dark Aether is an integral part of Black Ops 7 Zombies. As players make their way through the game’s launch map, Ashes of the Damned, there are several small Easter Eggs that will provide easy ways to increase in power while retaining Essence and Salvage. One of these Easter Eggs is the Vending Machines. This Easter Egg was present in both Liberty Falls and Reckoning in Black Ops 6 and makes a return in Ashes of the Damned. While limited in what it can provide, these machines have the chance to provide some of the most powerful upgrades for free, so players should know where to find and how to use them to get the most out of them. So, allow me to break down how to get some items from these machines and make surviving the undead just a little easier. This guide will show players how to do the Vending Machine Easter Egg on Ashes of the Damned in Black Ops 7.
Vending Machine Easter Egg Locations on Ashes of the Damned
Unlike the previous iterations of this Easter Egg, there are two Vending Machines that can be found in Ashes of the Damned. The first one can be found in the spawn room at Janus Towers Plaza. Look at the front door to the tower and then go to the northwest corner to find the machine.

The other Vending Machine is found all the way at the opposite end of the map at Exit 115. Go to the west side of the McDougal’s Service Station in the southeast corner of the area and you will find the Vending Machine outside next to a buyable door.

You can melee the item box of the vending machine once per round and an item will come out. These items can range from non-interactable objects, such as bags of chips, to equipment and even weapons, including Wonder Weapons like the Ray Gun. This can be done every single round to get a new reward, but be careful if you decide to purchase the Melee Macchiato Perk. The powerful punch that this Perk provides will destroy the Vending Machine. Smashing the machine does guarantee some good loot, but it means that this Easter Egg will no longer be usable. It’s up to you if you want to get a big payout quickly or have the option to get smaller rewards every single round.
You can now do the Vending Machine Easter Egg on Ashes of the Damned in Black Ops 7 Zombies. Stay tuned to Gameranx for more news, updates, and guides for Black Ops 7 as well as other great games in the future.
