We’re enjoying the Scar Update for Disney Dreamlight Valley, which adds some malevolent energy for the Halloween Season. While helping out Scar, you’ll have to cook up one of his favorite recipes — Extra Fizzy Root Beer. This isn’t your average root beer, and some players are confused on how to actually make it. This recipe can’t be normally crafted with standard ingredients, and it requires a specific, slightly different collection of materials to cook up. There’s a reason we’re all confused.
There’s so much more to explore in the Scar Update. You can now tame Ravens by giving them 5-Star Recipes. They’re extremely picky eaters. You can now also collect a special item called Rich Soil. How To Craft Extra-Fizzy Root Beer | Scar Quest Guide
During one of the quests for Scar, you’ll need to cook Extra-Fizzy Root Beer. This step has thrown off lots of players — it isn’t entirely clear what you need to do here. To create the drink, follow this recipe.
- Extra-Fizzy Root Beer Recipe: You’ll get a recipe for this concoction during the quest. The recipe uses Ginger. This is for regular Root Beer. To cook Extra-Fizzy Root Beer, you need to use the Dried Ginger.
Ginger is a type of crop that appears in the Forgotten Lands, but it isn’t required for this quest. You don’t actually need any ginger — as you go through the story with Scar, you’ll automatically find one Dried Ginger ingredient. You’ll only get one, so you can only make exactly one Extra-Fizzy Root Beer. It only exists for this specific quest.
That’s why this step is so confusing. You’ll get a recipe for regular Root Beer, but you need to replace one ingredient with a slightly different ingredient that only appears as a unique quest item. My head is spinning already. You can only cook one Extra-Fizzy Root Beer, and you’ll never be able to make another one. That’s totally fine because you’ll only ever need it to complete a step of Scar’s Questline. Once you get it, use it and enjoy cooking up regular Root Beer afterward.
