Although Trainers are currently celebrating Halloween in Pokemon Go, we already have the details about the first event of November. Dia De Muertos is back for 2023 and you’ll get an opportunity to encounter a range of Pokemon and earn bonuses along the way.
The event is only scheduled to last for a very limited-time, so you’ll have to be quick if you want to bank yourself all the goodies.

The following Pokemon will make their debut:
- Cubone wearing a cempasuchil crown
- Marowak wearing a cempasuchil crown
If you missed out on Duskull wearing a cempasuchil crown in 2022, you’ll have another chance to add the creature to your Pokedex again this year.
Wild encounters
Here are the Pokemon that will appear in wild during the Dia de Muertos 2023 event, all of which have the chance to spawn as a Shiny:
- Sunkern
- Sableye
- Roselia
- Duskull wearing a cempasuchil crown
- Drifloon
- Litwick
- Cubone wearing a cempasuchil crown
- Yamask
- Phantump
Incense and Lure encounters
Here are the Pokemon that will be attracted to Incense and Lure Modules during the Dia de Muertos 2023 event, all of which have the chance to spawn as a Shiny (excluding Flabebe.)
- Sunkern

- Sableye
- Roselia

Field Research Task encounters
While completing Field Research during the event, you’ll encounter the following Pokemon, all of which have a chance to appear as a Shiny:

- Alolan Marowak
Raid spawns
Here are the Pokemon that will hatch from Raid eggs during the event:
One-star Raids: Cubone wearing a cempasuchil crown
Three-star Raids: Azumarill, Bombirdier, Umbreon, Hariyama
Five-star Raids: Darkrai
Mega Raids: Mega Banette
Event bonuses
Last but certainly not least, various event bonuses will be live:
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for 90 minutes
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for 90 minutes
- 2x Catch Candy
- Players in Latin America and the Caribbean will earn additional Candy for transferring Pokemon
The Pokemon Go Dia de Muertos 2023 event will begin on Wednesday, November 1, at 10am and conclude on Thursday, November 2, at 8pm local time.
