If you’ve lost once before, there are methods you can use to win. If you haven’t fought all the other big bosses before this, you really should do that first — the other case files include boss fights that are similar to this fight. How To Beat Talia | Final Boss Guide
The final boss of Gotham Knights is a three-stage fight against the revived Bruce Wayne, Talia, and then Talia’s Second Form. The battle against Bruce Wayne is a classic brawl. He attacks with strings of punches and kicks, he’s extremely quick, but you can dodge and counter him. The fight against Talia is also difficult but relatively standard compared to other difficult enemies in Gotham Knights. Talia uses a special shape-shifting weapon that can transform into multiple weapons, much like her father in the opening cutscene.
The real challenge comes in the final phase. The last stage of Talia is incredibly difficult — so difficult most players are struggling to beat it. If you’re experiencing serious problems, here’s a few tips you can use to overcome the fight. Either before the fight begins, or during the fight itself.
- Preparing | Final Battle:
- Like all bosses, if you’re playing solo you need to outlevel the recommendation before attempting the case. Reach Level 30 by completing the other cases. Grind premeditated crimes.
- Craft the best gear you can. After crafting gear, make sure to install modchips to make your gear better.
- You’ll want gear that has increased Concussion damage to stun the boss or add Cryogenic / Ice damage to your attacks. This makes you much, much more powerful. Even if it looks like your power is lower, if you deal an elemental damage type, you will be hurting the last bosses so much more.
You’ll also want to remove any Poison / Green damage. Talia is resistant to poison — she also deals poison damage so any resistance you can add to your suit will help. Any other damage type works well against her.
Next, you’ll have to actually reach her. You should be easily wiping out her League of Shadows minions. If the elite ninjas in the caves are giving you problems, I highly recommend stopping and reconfiguring your character abilities, gear, or leveling up. You’ll need all the health charges you can get.
- How To Beat Talia | Final Phases Tips
- Try to enter this fight with as many healing charges as possible. Also select powerful defensive skills — Batgirl can unlock two self-revives, essentially giving you two free auto-heals.
- Her charged spear attack can’t be dodged and doesn’t flash a warning. When she charges, spring behind her and attempt to use a heavy attack. This is the only way to interrupt. You can also simply sprint away from her and hope to escape her barrage of attacks.
- Talia has many attacks in this phase that aren’t telegraphed and can’t be dodged. Sprinting helps you avoid her attacks. You can still pull off perfect dodges rarely — this is good for building concussion or for a heavy burst of damage with ice.
As a last resort, you can also lower the difficulty at any time. Mid-fight, you can open the options menu and lower the Difficulty from Hard / Normal to Easy / Very Easy. There is no in-game penalty for doing this. You’re free to change the difficulty back to Normal after beating the last boss. If you’re like us, you just wanted to experience the story. There are no difficulty achievements / trophies, no unique rewards — literally nothing to stop you from changing the difficulty. If you can’t beat Talia, I recommend lowering the difficulty. This game is made to be fun so have fun in whatever way works before for you.
