Arrows are a big problem in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Namely, there just aren’t enough of them. You can buy arrows from shops and travelling merchants, but they’re expensive and it takes days of in-game time before a store re-ups their stock. I’ve always been low on arrows, and previously, farming Lizalfos in the Lanayru region seemed like the best bet for getting more.
Not anymore. Thanks to a brand new method that’s been spreading across the internet like wildfire, you too can collect 999 arrows without ever risking damage. This is an AFK method, meaning you can barely pay attention while collecting a massive amount of arrows.
Plenty of people have been sharing this trick, but we got the tip from Austin John Plays on Youtube. Check out his channel for more Zelda secrets.
How to Get Infinite Arrows | AFK Farming Guide
To begin farming for an endless supply of arrows, you’ll need to unlock one ability.
- Required Ability: Devali’s Gale
- Unlocked for completing Divine Beast Vah Medoh above Rito Village, in the Tabantha Tower Region.
Next, travel to the plains east of the Wasteland Region mountain, and west from the Lake Tower. Grinnden Plains / Zokassa Ridge are the best places to search — just don’t drop down into the Oseira Plains. A Lynel stalks that area.
We’re looking for mounted Bokoblins. There are three Bokoblins on horseback milling around Grinnden Plains, and they love to sling arrows at Link.
- NOTE: If you’ve already killed these Bokoblins, there are other places you can find mounted Bokoblins. Alternatively, you can wait for the next Blood Moon to revive them.
Of course, Bokoblins shoot arrows at Link. They’re bad shots, but they’ll hit Link eventually. Annoying. Here’s where the trick comes into play…
- After finding the Bokoblins in Faron, between Grinnden Plains and Zokasssa Ridge, use Devali’s Gale to fly up and change positions.
- Fly to a slightly different spot and land. — DO NOT MOVE —
- That includes the camera. Stay completely still. Do not press a button as you land.
- If you remain completely still, the Bokoblins will NEVER hit Link with another arrow.
Just sit around and wait for the arrows to accumulate around Link’s feet. The Bokoblins hit close to Link, but not close enough.
You CAN collect arrows from this position, but don’t move too much, or Link will take a combat stance, signifying that the Bokoblins can now shoot him freely.
BONUS: Even if you don’t have Revali’s Gale, you can still easily farm arrows. All you have to do? Run in circles! The Bokoblins will almost never hit Link as long as he’s running in a circle. This is a more dangerous method, but it will get you arrows faster. It’s possible to get x3 arrows ever 2-3 seconds.
Stand around, and Link can grab all the arrows he wants from a safe location. It’s really easy, but you’ll only collect arrows one at a time, so this is probably best for AFK sessions. Listen to a podcast, watch an internet video, and occasionally look down at the Switch / WiiU to press the [A] button.
