LEGO Fortnite: How to Craft a Bed and Sleep

January 30, 2024 by Lauren Sayles

Even our LEGO Fortnite characters need a rest.

Since the launch of LEGO Fortnite, players have been embarking on a unique crafting adventure. As is the case with many survival games, you can build a bed to allow your character to catch some z’s. If you need to know how to sleep in LEGO Fortnite, we’ve got all the details.

Beds in LEGO Fortnite don’t operate in the way you may expect. In Minecraft, for example, sleeping quickly takes you to the next day. In LEGO Fortnite, you can sleep, but you still have to be up and active throughout the night.

How to sleep in LEGO Fortnite

Before you can craft a bed, you need to build a workbench which will unlock the crafting recipe for the bed. You can then find the bed in your Build Menu, under the Furniture tab. All that’s needed to craft a bed is 10 Wood which can easily be obtained by chopping down trees.

It’s worth noting that you won’t be able to use your bed while it’s out in the open and rain is falling. Therefore, it’s recommended that you build a roof over your head while you’re sleeping to ensure that your bed is accessible at all times. The same applies to any villagers you assign beds to.

When you sleep in a bed, it doesn’t fast forward time and allow you to wake up when it’s daylight. Instead, a bed is useful for healing any lost hearts and acting as a spawn point if you die on your adventures. Make sure you’re ready for what the nights of LEGO Fortnite have to throw at you by crafting essential items such as torches.
