LEGO Fortnite: How to Craft Wheels

January 7, 2024 by Lauren Sayles

Ride your very own LEGO vehicle.

Shortly after Epic Games introduced us to the Underground with the launch of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 came a LEGO Fortnite survival mode. Breaking Fortnite player count records, it proved extremely popular as soon as the collaboration went live. When you first begin playing, the only way you can travel is on foot. That’s until you can get your hands on some wheels. If you’re ready to craft yourself some fresh wheels in LEGO Fortnite, this guide contains everything you need to know.

Wheels are just one of many items that you can create in LEGO Fortnite to progress your world. By learning how to make them, you’ll be able to roll your way through the map with your friends more efficiently.

How to get wheels in LEGO Fortnite

Before you can begin crafting wheels, you need to collect Flexwood which can be harvested from cacti in the desert biome. Then, take your Flexwood to a Lumber Mill to craft a Flexwood Rod. By doing so, you’ll unlock the wheels blueprint and the recipe will become available in the Toys section of the build menu.

There are two wheels to choose from, either small or or large.

To craft a small wheel, you’ll need:

  • One Flexwood Rod
  • One Flexwood

To craft a large wheel, you’ll need:

  • One Flexwood Rod
  • Two Flexwood

However, wheels have a limited use, so you may not be able to create the vehicle of your dreams. Both small and large wheels can only be attached to Dynamic Foundations, also located in the Toys section of the build menu. Once you’ve placed down a Dynamic Foundation, you will be able to attach your wheels to it and hit the road.

Now you know how to craft wheels, getting around your LEGO Fortnite world just got a whole lot quicker.
