Fortnite: How to get Banana of The Gods

March 27, 2024 by Lauren Sayles

Who knew a banana could be so powerful?

Fortnite rolled out its v29.10 update which unleashed even more powerful items on the island. The Gods are hard at work making one of the strongest loot pools in Fortnite history, fitting with the Myths and Mortals theme. Now, the Banana of The Gods has arrived for the remainder of the season. With the Banana of The Gods being the latest consumable in Fortnite, you’ll want to know where to find it.

The selection of healing items are huge in Chapter 5 Season 2. Of course, there’s your traditional medkit and shield potions, as well as Slap barrels, FlowBerry Fizz, Chug Splash, and more. The Banana of The Gods is one of the best ways to replenish your health when you’ve taken enemy gunfire.

Where to find the Banana of The Gods in Fortnite

The latest consumable can predominantly be found at Grim Gate, The Underworld, Mount Olympus, and Brawler’s Battleground. By looting regular chests, Olympus chests, and keeping your eye on the ground loot in these areas, there’s a chance that you’ll find a Banana of The Gods. As you’d expect, it looks just like a banana, but it has a golden glow to it.

When you’re low on health, you can eat the banana to gain three health every second until your health bar reaches 100. At the same time, you’ll move faster and jump higher, perfect for getting out of a tricky gunfight. As soon as your health reaches 100, the movement buffs will disappear.

One of the Myths of Midas challenges asks you to consume a Banana of The Gods. Now you know how to get it, you can earn 10,000 XP in your next match and get a step closer to earning the free cosmetics that are tied to this set of quests.
