Fortnite: What's Inside Pandora's Box?

After a series of mysterious earthquakes in Fortnite, Pandora’s Box emerged from the ground, chained to a giant hand. Players have been tirelessly chipping away at it to see its contents and now it’s open, you may want to know what’s inside.

Pandora’s Box can be found towards the southwest of Ruined Reels. It won’t be difficult to spot, considering there is a huge light beaming from its location.

After all that work, Pandora’s Box is open in Fortnite

When Pandora’s Box was added to the map, it possessed a health bar worth trillions. Players had to band together to deplete the colossal health bar and of course, Fortnite’s loyal fanbase was up to the challenge. In less than 24 hours, enough weapons and explosives had been fired at the box to crack it open.

When the chains broke off and the lid lifted on Pandora’s Box, an orange Vortex emerged from the inside. Entering the Vortex will propel you up in the sky and allow you to deploy your glider. If you look closely, you’ll notice a sea of hands swirling around from inside the Vortex.

Although the mini-live event doesn’t give away too much, it does add fuel to the fire regarding Chapter 5 Season 2’s rumored Greek theme. According to Greek Mythology, when Pandora opened the box, sickness, death, fear, and other evils were unleashed into the world. Perhaps that’s a sign of what’s to come, and the consequences of participating in the event.

In the coming days, we will have to keep a close eye on Pandora’s Box and see if it makes any more changes to the island. All will become clear when Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 begins on March 8, 2024.
