In Case 7.1, you’re presented with a pretty baffling puzzle in an Arkham Asylum clock tower. Gotham Knights isn’t afraid of throwing a few puzzles at players, but this puzzle is seemingly random — until you figure out the relatively simple solution. We’ll explain how to solve this puzzle with the full guide below.

There are actually two puzzles in Case 7.1. The first puzzle challenges you to connect two pieces of evidence to find your first major clue. The second puzzle is the frequency puzzle, which is what causes all the problems for players. The frequency puzzle is seemingly randomized so we can only explain how to solve it yourself. This is the last major puzzle in the game. After figuring this out, you’ll quickly unravel the real plot of the game and face off against the final boss. For now, here’s how to complete Case 7.1.

Chemical Experiment Puzzle

After entering Arkham Asylum, you’ll find a strange laboratory. You need to select two objects in the lab to figure out what Talia is trying to accomplish.

  • Solution: Select Serum V24.07 + Genetic Marker Group M and Solve.

Frequency Tower Puzzle

Turning on the power to Arkham Asylum, the lights will lead you to a tower that’s packed with oscillators — there are four machines with frequencies shown. There are four devices, and each one is connected to a wire. Follow the color of the wire and match the symbols to solve the puzzle.

  • Solution: Match the wires connecting the oscillator to frequencies. Look at the main screen — there are four frequencies you can set each oscillator to. Selecting the frequency doesn’t matter. All that matters is the order.
    • Flip through the frequencies until the screen turns green. You need to flip the oscillators in the same order they appear on the main screen.
    • The order may be random. For us, the order was: Blue, Purple, Orange, Green

Essentially, you need to look at the green terminal in the center of the tower. This shows the order of the lights. Ignore the wires. All you need to do is select the matching frequency, starting with the first frequency section on the main monitor. Go through all sections from left-to-right. You can match the frequencies by eyeballing them. This is a strange setup for a puzzle and doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. But it works as long as you select the matching frequency sections starting from the left.
