The beginning of a new era
Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Modern Warfare 3 content will not carry forward to the Black Ops 6. The only exception is the Woods Operator Pack which is obtained through placing a pre-order of the Vault Edition. This is available to equip in Modern Warfare 3 and then Black Ops 6 at launch.
However, this only applies to multiplayer, as carry forward content for Warzone will continue, with Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare 3, and Black Ops 6 content being integrated with the battle royale with the arrival of Season 1.
When you first begin playing Black Ops 6 multiplayer, you’ll only have access to default Operator skins (unless you have the Woods Operator pack.) Therefore, you’ll have to earn skins through the battle pass or purchase them from the in-game store.
Of course, if you hop into Warzone or continue to play Modern Warfare 3, you’ll still have access to your cosmetics in those games.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will hit PlayStation, Xbox, and PC storefronts on October 25, 2024.
