Fortnite – Midas Presents: Floor is Lava Quests and Rewards

March 19, 2024 by Lauren Sayles

Midas unleashes a new threat on the island.

Fortnite’s most infamous villain, Midas, has escaped jail in The Underworld. A special questline is trickling out which will see you help Midas escape the Fortnite island. Of course, wherever Midas goes, chaos follows and as a result, new weapons have joined the island, along with a limited-time game mode. If you want to hop into the shiniest Fortnite Floor is Lava mode to date, this guide has all the details.

Floor is Lava is back for the duration of the Rise of Midas event. The Lava has Midas’ golden touch, along with strictly golden weapons unleashed on the island. You can build over lava or secure the high ground on the island, but whatever you do, don’t touch the molten gold! Over time, you’ll slowly be granted builds without harvesting materials and the amount will increase as the match progresses.

Fortnite Midas Presents: Floor is Lava quests and rewards

Midas Presents: Floor is Lava has a set of challenges that are separate from the Rise of Midas questline. They will go live sequentially and the first phase of quests are as follows:

  • Build structures directly over lava (25)
  • Use a Harpoon Gun to pull a player into lava (1)
  • Eliminate players before touching lava (10)
  • Use Crash Pad Jr or Balloons (10)
  • Survive Storm Circles (10)

Since these challenges can only be completed in the Floor is Lava game type, you’ll have to spend a lot of time in that mode. The playlist can be found in the ‘Discover’ tab from the main lobby screen.

Completing three quests will see you unlock the Lightning King Spray and completing six quests will grant you the Zeus Medallion Spray. Finally, making your way through 12 quests will add The Gilded Vengeance Pickaxe to your locker.

Midas Presents: Floor is Lava quests will come to a close on April 2, 2024, so make sure you grab all the free Fortnite cosmetics on offer before Midas makes his great escape!
