The ghostly Cap Kingdom gains 50 purple coins when you make a return trip in Super Mario Odyssey. There are no coins in this ruined kingdom until Mario repairs the Odyssey — after that, 50 coins and lots of Power Moons will appear, ripe for the collecting. All the coins are available to take on your return trip, and there’s a fancy Tuxedo at the Crazy Cap store that’s a must-buy.
Getting the coins isn’t too difficult this time around. Mario will have to explore the many unlocked extra areas and capture flying goombas to reach hats in the foggy distance, but most of the coins are available in or around the Central Plaza of Bonneton. The toughest coins are probably hidden in the secret area filled with poisonous waves — you’ll have to fly under the purple goop and reach an area behind the exit door. Find those coins and more with the gallery / locations list below.
