Paul McCartney makes his triumphant return to the Destiny franchise in the Forsaken expansion for Destiny 2 — and it is glorious. If you didn’t follow the hype leading up to the release of the original Destiny, you might not even remember the song penned by legendary Beatle alum Sir Paul McCartney himself. Titled “Hope For The Future”, it became the unofficial theme for Destiny until everyone forgot that it existed entirely.
Well, now it’s back, and you can listen to the whole thing in all its, uh, ‘glory’ — thanks to a secret Easter egg area you can find in a new Forsaken DLC area. This isn’t the first time that “Hope For The Future” featured in Destiny 2. During the first mission, you can stop and squat beside a door that leads to the previous Tower’s lounge and listen to a discordant remix of the song for a spell. If you’re into that sort of thing. This time it’s the real deal.

Paul McCartney Returns In This Hilarious Lost Sector | Easter Egg Guide
Activate your auditory and visual senses, because this video (and song) are real things, that really released alongside Destiny. The video above shows the full version of “Hope For The Future”, as performed by Paul McCartney.
And it appears in Destiny 2: Forsaken, in a secretive Lost Sector bar, run by seedy Fallen grunts. You’ll need to clear the room, but you can listen to the song (or take control of the DJ booth) yourself. The tavern-like environment is run by Fallen, so you know they’re bad news.
The Lost Sector is called the Empty Tank (also hilarious) and you can find it in the Tangled Shore, Thieves’ Landing, north the passage to the Spider’s Safehouse. You’ll need to enter the Lost Sector through a door, and inside you’ll find the full setup, “Hope For The Future” and all.
Getting by the doorman isn’t easy. He’s a PL 480 enemy, so it’s a tricky place to explore early in your adventure.
This is very old-school — you can find plenty of dance parties in a Bungie games, and there will surely be many, many more.
