LEGO Fortnite: How to Tame Animals

April 22, 2024 by Lauren Sayles

New residents are moving into your Village.

LEGO Fortnite is preparing to roll out yet another major update and this time, it’s focused on farming. The content drop which will arrive on April 23, 2024 will allow you to keep animals in your Village and introduce a range of other improvements. Before you can keep animals in your LEGO Fortnite Village, you must learn how to tame them.

Up until now, players have managed to come up with make-shift ways of having an animal farm. The most effective method has been to lure the animal by throwing down food in a trail and trapping it in a pen. However, this is all about to change with the Farm Friends update.

How to tame animals in LEGO Fortnite

First of all, you must build an Animal House which is where you’ll feed your animals and farm their resources. The Animal House is available to craft when your Village hits level 2.

Once you’ve tracked down an animal that you want to tame, you must begin building its trust by petting them and gain their friendship through feeding them Animal Treats. If the animal accepts your treat, you’ve got a limited amount of time to lead them back to your Village. Try and make the journey as smooth as possible, as any issues could make them abandon the trip.

When you make it back to your village, interact with the Animal House to assign your new animal to the building. From there, you can feed and interact with the animal to keep them happy. By taking good care of your animals, you’ll be able to farm their resources.

  • Chickens produce Feathers and Fertilizer
  • Cows produce Milk and Fertilizer
  • Sheep produce Wool and Fertilizer
  • Pigs produce Mushrooms and Fertilizer

Keep in mind that only one animal can be assigned to each Animal House. If you want a farm with plenty of resources, you’ll need to build multiple Animal Houses to accommodate your Village’s newest residents!
