What is the Modern Warfare 3 Minefield mode?
Activision has dubbed Minefield as “multiplayer, but with mines.” The playlist will collaborate with classic modes such as Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, and Domination, with the same rules applying to the relevant mode. However, a key difference in Minefield is when an enemy player is killed, a Proximity Mine will drop on their dead body. The Proximity Mine can’t be picked up and remains a threat until it explodes, destroying anything in its path (apart from friendly squad mates, of course.)
As the action heats up, more Proximity Mines will be out on the battlefield. Not only will you have to remain vigilant of enemy operators, but make sure you watch your step as you navigate the various twists and turns of each map.
If you like the sound of Modern Warfare 3’s Minefield mode, you’ll have to wait a little longer before trying it out. It’s scheduled to launch as part of the mid-season content drop which will begin on May 1, 2024. Season 3 Reloaded will also introduce new weapons, operator skins, and feature various limited-time modes in Rebirth Island. Stay tuned for more updates as we near the release date.
