LEGO Fortnite: How to Craft a Wrench

March 27, 2024 by Lauren Sayles

Tune your vehicle.

Thanks to the latest update, LEGO Fortnite players no longer have to produce make-shift vehicles to travel around the open-world as official vehicles have arrived. It’s beneficial to have a Wrench in your back pocket for when your vehicle needs a touch up. We’ve got all the details on how to craft a Wrench in LEGO Fortnite.

As Epic Games says “It’s not just Toys in your toolbox.” A Wrench is an important item that allows you to make more detailed adaptations to the way in which your new forms of transport function.

How to craft a Wrench in LEGO Fortnite

To craft a Wrench, you need:

  • 3 Wooden Rods
  • 1 Cord

To produce Wooden Rods, take Wood to a Lumber Mill and select the Wooden Rods option, directly under the Wooden Planks.

If you haven’t already, place down a Spinning Wheel to unlock the recipe for Cords. Collect five Vines for each piece of cord you want to produce. Vines are harvested through destroying bushes and crops such as pumpkin and corn plants. Once you have enough Vines in your inventory, take them to a Spinning Wheel and you’ll be able to produce Cords from there.

Once you’ve gathered all the materials, you can craft a Wrench at a Crafting Bench and get to work on your LEGO Fortnite vehicles. A Crafting Bench is one of the first items you make when you begin your survival adventure. If you need a reminder, Crafting Benches can be built using 3 Wood and 5 Granite.

The Wrench can be used to assign Switches and Thrusters to channels, allowing you to control as many Thrusters as you want using three separate Switches, rather than being limited to one Switch controlling everything.
