LEGO Fortnite: How to Stay Warm in the Frostlands

February 19, 2024 by Lauren Sayles

Don’t underestimate the Frostlands.

Before you explore the Frostlands you’ll need to prevent yourself from freezing to death in the snowy biome. Luckily, there are many ways you can stay warm in LEGO Fortnite and stop the cold from being a threat.

If you’re cold, you’ll begin to lose a quarter of a heart every few seconds. When you’re cold, you’ll get a notification on your screen, but you can monitor your character’s temperature by viewing the temperature bar towards the top left of your screen, under your character’s icon.

How to stay warm in LEGO Fortnite

The first way to protect yourself from the cold is by consuming certain foods. Eating a spicy pepper will give you a short burst of resistance to the cold. You’ll find this consumable in the desert biome. If you want to get your chef’s hat on, you can even make a spicy burger using meat, flour, and a spicy pepper to eat when you’re cold.

Alternatively, you can keep yourself warm by huddling around a campfire or by crafting a torch and holding it in your hand while you explore. A torch isn’t the most powerful option, but it should do just enough to fight off cold conditions.

The best defense against the cold is crafting an Inner Fire Charm at an upgraded workbench. The charm gives you permanent resistance to cold and equipping up to three charms will see you become immune to the most freezing conditions.

To craft a rare Inner Fire Charm, you’ll need:

  • 3x Wool Thread
  • 3x Blast Core
  • 5x Cut Ruby
  • 8x Brightcore

The bonuses for this particular charm are:

  • +1 Cold Resistance
  • +4 Hearts
  • +7 Shield

The recipe for an epic Inner Fire Charm is:

  • 1x Frost Brute Scale
  • 3x Heavy Wool Thread
  • 10x Blast Core
  • 30x Brightcore

This will see you gain a whopping:

  • +1 Cold Resistance
  • +5 Hearts
  • +14 Shield

Now you know how to stay warm in LEGO Fortnite, you’re ready to take on the coldest conditions.
