Fortnite: How to get TMNT Weapons

February 9, 2024 by Lauren Sayles

COWABUNGA!

Over the years, Fortnite has introduced fans to an abundance of crossovers, bringing our favorite TV characters, celebrities, and artists to life in the battle royale. Now, a collaboration has gone live with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT,) adding new weapons to the mix.

Originally created in 1983 by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, the TMNT began as a comic book. Since the inception of these beloved characters, the franchise has evolved to become a TV show, movies, and more.

How to get TMNT weapons in Fortnite

There are four TMNT-themed weapons available to obtain, Leonardo’s Katanas, Raphael’s Sai, Michelangelo’s Nunchaku, or Donatello’s Staff. However, they all have the exact same abilities:

  • Attack: Hold the primary fire button to swing, swing, and keep swinging.
  • Air Attack: Press the primary fire button in-air for a devastating air attack.
  • Dash Attack: Press the secondary fire button to charge with your weapon.
  • Double Jump: With one of the weapons equipped, jump while you’re already in the air.

These Mythic weapons have three charges, with each charge returning after a ten second cooldown. Charges are used for the Air Attack and Dash Attack, but you can Double Jump and perform a regular Attack whenever you please.

TMNT weapons can be found in chests, supply drops, and even vending machines across the Fortnite island. Of course, if you eliminate a player with one of these weapons in their inventory, you can claim it for yourself by picking it up from their dead body.

The TMNT Cowabunga event is only around for a limited-time, concluding on February 27, 2024. Take advantage of these powerful weapons while you have the chance!
