Fortnite: How to get the Crash Pad Jr

January 17, 2024 by Lauren Sayles

The OG Crash Pad’s younger sibling.

As Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 continues to progress, Epic Games are ensuring the season remains fresh by making updates to the loot pool. So far, players have been introduced to the hard-hitting Enforcer assault rifle, using the new FlowBerry Fizz healing item, and getting reacquainted with the Lock On pistol. Now, the Crash Pad Jr is the latest item to return from the vault, providing an extra mobility option. If you want to know where to find the Crash Pad Jr and how it works, read on.

A smaller version of the OG Crash Pad, the Crash Pad Jr first made its debut in Chapter 4. Its compact size means it can be used in tighter spots such as buildings.

Where to find the Crash Pad Jr in Fortnite

The Crash Pad Jr has been added to the general loot pool, meaning it can be found in chests, supply drones, and even as floor loot. The item is labelled as being Uncommon in rarity, so they should be relatively easy to find, no matter where you are on the map.

To use a Crash Pad Jr, all you have to do is throw it down in your desired spot. You can then jump on it to propel yourself up in the air and secure yourself the high ground. In addition, it is particularly useful to prevent fall damage and the anti-gravity effect means that you’ll land back on your feet without a scratch.

Five Crash Pad Jrs can be stacked which is more than enough to allow you to hop, skip, and jump around the island and outplay your opponents in a gunfight.

Now you know how to get the Crash Pad Jr, you’ll be able to add it to your inventory in your next Fortnite match.
