XDefiant: How to Unlock all Season 2 Weapons

September 27, 2024 by Lauren Sayles

A much needed expansion of the loot pool.

XDefiant Season 2 launched with a new Highwaymen faction, a unique map, and the roll out of the highly anticipated Bomb mode. It wouldn’t be a new season without the debut of fresh weapons that are ready and waiting to be unlocked.

Already, XDefiant boasts a diverse loot pool as there’s something to suit every playstyle. The latest pieces of weaponry continue that trend, while giving the meta a much needed switch up.

Kickstart the weapon grind

Three new weapons have made their way into the XDefiant collection and they’re all unlocked via the Season 2 battle pass.

The first weapon is the PP-19 submachine gun which resembles the Bizon. Even though it possesses a low rate of fire, the gun is hard-hitting and the recoil can be tamed through the various attachments you’ll earn while tearing through the battlefield. Add the PP-19 to your loadouts when you reach Tier 20 of the battle pass.

Another close-quarter option storming onto the scene is the SPAS-12, an iconic semi-automatic shotgun. Its firepower in XDefiant is unmatched, especially at short range. With that being said, its handling and mobility is on the slower side. The SPAS-12 becomes available when you make it to battle pass tier 50.

Finally, light machine gun fans can cause chaos with the L86. Unlike a traditional light machine gun, the L86 is quick to reload and has a respectable amount of mobility on its side. However, its biggest detriment is that damage is on the lower side. The L86 is yours when you reach Tier 80 of the battle pass.

Although the majority of the rewards require you to purchase the battle pass in order to obtain them, every new weapon in XDefiant Season 2 is unlocked for free through the battle pass. This means you don’t need to buy the battle pass to get the new weapons, as the tiers they reside in are free.

The chances are that these are the only weapons that’ll make it into the game during Season 2. If that changes, we’ll update you on the latest additions.
