They’re basically esential if you want to create the perfect build — the best rolls are most likely to happen when you’re collecting Wrathful Hearts. And if you want to get lots of them, you’ll need to start farming before the Season of the Malignant is over.

Best Wrathful Heart Farming Method
Wrathful Hearts are the rarest Malignant Hearts in Season 1 of Diablo 4. These rare hearts are also the best possible drops you can find when grinding — they’re extremely hard to find normally, requiring at least 1 hour of grinding for 1 Wrathful Hearts. By using a different method discovered and shared online by the Diablo 4 community you can earn 30~ or even 40~ Wrathful Hearts per hour.
- How To Farm Wrathful Hearts:
- Progress the Seasonal Quest until you get ‘The Cold Hard Truth‘ quest from Cormond. This is at the end of the journey at Chapter 4.
- This can be done on World Tier 1.
- Defeat the Bear mini-boss and the Varshan boss. Both of these bosses can drop Wrathful Hearts.
- After defeating the boss, do not talk to Cormond. Instead, repeat the story quest.
- Repeat the dungeon over and over. You can repeat it as often as you want. Reset the dungeon and complete it in 3~ minutes per run.
The Bear has a chance to drop Wrathful Hearts, and Varshan will always drop Wrathful Hearts. As long as you don’t talk to Cormond, the quest will not progress. If you’ve already finished this stage of the quest, you’ll need to join another player that hasn’t completed this quest. Or you can reroll — this can be done relatively quickly. You can reach this stage of Cormond’s seasonal quest between Level 30~ and Level 40~.
As long as you don’t progress the Seasonal Journey, you can continue to farm this quest. This quest can be farmed at higher levels or World Tiers to get better gear. This method is much, much faster than running Malignant Tunnels — Malignant Tunnels, even the fastest ones, still only have a small chance of spawning a Wrathful Heart.
Varshan Invokers can be crafted to fight Varshan again after completing the quest, but you’re much less likely to get a Wrathful Heart drop when using this method. Alternatively, one of the better methods for running Wrathful Hearts is by replaying the Ravening Pit Malignant Tunnel over and over.
