Destiny 2: Crown of Sorrow Raid Guide | How To Beat Every Encounter

June 6, 2019 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Face the truly terrifying Crown of Sorrow raid with confidence — here’s how to complete every step of the new ‘Season of Opulence’ raid in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2: Crown of Sorrow Raid Guide | Table of Contents
  • Encounter #1: Menagerie Depths – Dispel The Hive Ward
  • Encounter #2: Kingdom of Sorrow – Parkour Puzzle
  • Encounter #3: Kingdom of Sorrow – Gahlran’s Deception
  • Encounter #4: Gahlran, The Sorrow Bearer [Final Boss]

Encounter #2: Kingdom of Sorrow – Parkour Puzzle

  • GOAL: Reach the end of the jumping puzzle.

Once you complete the first encounter, you’ll enter the jumping puzzle area. There’s one of these in every raid, but this one is a little different. Instead of simply jumping, you’ll need to shoot crystals to make platforms appear.

Once you enter the ‘Kingdom of Sorrow‘ proper, you’ll run into another crystal — just like the one in the first encounter. These crystals work exactly like before — to destroy them, shoot them with a buffed and a non-buffed player at the same time.

How To Cross The Void: After destroying one crystal, shoot the three that spawn — jump ahead to the purple orb to swap buffs, destroy the next shielded crystal, and so on.

All of the mechanics here are the same. The trick is coordinating with your team — like before, you want to evenly split your team so half are buffed and half are not-buffed.

  • Reward: Raid Chest

That’s really all there is to it. And that leads into the next encounter.
