The strangest challenge ever encountered in a Fallout game is found in the Far Harbor DLC. After meeting all of the island’s factions, you’ll be sent on a quest to recover a certain someone’s memories from a secure computer. Instead of completing a regular hack, you’ll have to solve five devious puzzles. What are these puzzles? Think settlement-construction meets tower-defense. If you’re struggling to solve these challenges and need a little help, we’ve got all the instructions you’ll ever need right here. Keep scrolling for step-by-step instructions and screenshots to make these complex puzzles just a little bit more manageable.

If you’re a true survivor, check out Gameranx’s massive list of guides, how-to’s, secret locations, and everything else a fresh Vault 111 escapee needs to thrive on the Fallout 4 Ultimate Commonwealth Guide.

All 5 DiMA Memory Puzzle Solutions

The DiMA Memory puzzles are encountered during the quest “Best Left Forgotten” given by Kasumi Nakano in Acadia. When the Sole Survivor infiltrates the Children of Atom and enters The Nucleus Control Center, you’ll gain access to five complex memory puzzles.

These puzzles are unlike anything else in Fallout 4. If you’re having trouble, follow these step-by-step solutions.

How the Memory Puzzles Work

Each memory puzzle requires several steps to complete. Follow these pointers and tips before trying to solve these tricky tower-defense mini-games.

  • The goal of each puzzle is to get the green sprites to the yellow column and keep them safe as they return to the starting point.
  • Use green lasers to clear the red walls. Target the blue cube in the red walls with the green laser.
  • To get the green sprites to the yellow column, take the light-blue cubes and use them to build bridges over the holes in the path.
  • Code Blocks (Light Blue Cubes) can be stored in your workbench inventory and placed at any time. This also works for the Relays.
  • Once the green laser clears all red walls and the green sprites reach the green column, red orb enemies will appear.
  • To protect the green sprites, place Defense Constructs (Turrets) at regular intervals on the green sprite path.
  • When five green sprites return to the starting point, the puzzle is complete.

There are five memory puzzles, and the puzzles get progressively more difficult as you unlock each new challenge.
