Splitgate 2: How to Play Team Fiesta

July 10, 2025 by Lauren Sayles

Keep the party alive.

Following suit of many free-to-play multiplayer games, Splitgate 2 continues to roll out limited-time modes and events in order to keep players coming back for more. One mode that keeps returning time and time again in Splitgate 2 is Team Fiesta and here is how to come out victorious.

In many ways, Team Fiesta feels familiar to standard Splitgate 2 playlists. You select one of the three factions at the beginning of the match, the portal mechanic is in tact, while the fast-paced chaotic combat continues. However, there is one key twist that fans will have to get acquainted with.

Get the party started

Team Fiesta is just one of the limited-time modes that is rotated in and out of the Splitgate 2 arena playlists. To find success in Team Fiesta, you’re going to have to be savvy with every weapon in the game.

Team Fiesta is a 4v4 mode that leaves your loadouts behind by assigning you random weapons. At the start of the game, everyone will be assigned two random weapons, with new weapons given upon each death. The guns you get can range from a basic pistol, all the way to power weapons, and everyone’s favorite, the Baseball Bat.

If you aren’t a fan of the weapons you have, it is possible to pick up your dead opponent’s weapon from the ground. On the other hand, being in possession of your best weapon should encourage you to play your life so you can contribute the most kills possible to your team total.

The first team to reach 50 kills will win the match, which features all nine core arena maps. Along the way, you will earn XP towards every weapon you use, making Team Fiesta one of the best game modes to level up guns. Earning gun levels allows you to unlock further customization options in the form of attachments and Mastery camos.

Team Fiesta is a limited-time mode, meaning you have to keep an eye on the multiplayer rotation for a chance to play the mode. Keep in mind that the queue time for limited-time experiences tends to be higher than that of standard Splitgate 2 playlists.
