Fortnite: How to Open the Secret Magic Mosses Vault

December 4, 2024 by Lauren Sayles

A risk worth the reward.

The Hunters season is well underway and there are plenty of mysteries to uncover as you push back against the evil forces on the island. This includes secret vaults and not all is as it seems at Magic Mosses in Fortnite.

In Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, there are just two vaults on the map, the Nightshift Forest vault and the Magic Mosses vault. The Magic Mosses vault is tucked away out of plain sight, so not everyone will know its location and how to get inside. With this handy guide, you’ll be able to gain entry to the vault and secure yourself some strong loot.

How to access the Magic Mosses vault in Fortnite

Firstly, you must acquire any of the three types of Sprite. The easiest way to get your hands on a Sprite is by visiting a Sprite Shrine. Luckily there is a Sprite Shrine in Magic Mosses, on the west side of the point of interest. Interacting with the Shrine will mark all nearby Sprites and then approaching a Sprite will give you the option to pick it up.

Once you have a Sprite in your possession, you’re ready to head towards the vault. The vault itself is well hidden underground. Head to the very center of Magic Mosses and you will find an arch that stands over a wooden floor. The arch is surrounded by three larger buildings and there is a Reboot Van nearby.

When you arrive at the correct location, take out your pickaxe and break the wooden floor below. By doing so, you will fall into a body of water and see the entrance to the vault, guarded by two turtle statues. Simply stand in front of the stone entrance with your Sprite in-hand and the door will lift.

Initially, you will be greeted by a single chest, but if you take out your pickaxe and break the stone behind it, the full contents of the vault will be revealed. As soon as you’re inside, you can expect to find rare and Elemental chests, a Typhoon Blade, and Slurp Barrels.
