Fortnite: How to Open the Secret Nightshift Forest Vault

December 3, 2024 by Lauren Sayles

Uncovering underground mysteries.

Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 is home to a diverse loot pool. Of course, you’ll want high-tier loot to mow down any threats in your path and achieve that all-important victory royale. One way you can do so is by looting the contents of the secret Nightshift Forest vault.

Vaults have been a feature on various iterations of the Fortnite island for a while now. Usually, you need to acquire a vault keycard by eliminating a boss in order to gain entry. However, the Nightshift Forest vault is hidden and there are certain steps you need to follow to get inside.

How to access the Nightshift Forest vault in Fortnite

First of all, you must show a Sprite to the Bushranger NPC who can be found in Nightshift Forest. The easiest way to get your hands on a Sprite is by visiting a Sprite Shrine. The closest Sprite Shrine to Nightshift Forest is to the southeast of the point of interest, across the small pond. Interacting with the Shrine will mark all nearby Sprites and then approaching a Sprite will give you the option to pick it up.

When you have a Sprite in-hand, go back to Nightshift Forest and speak with Bushranger. He spawns in one of three places within the area, all of which we have marked on the map below. Bushranger will present you with a dialogue option that allows you to “show item,” presenting him with the Sprite you have picked up.

From this point onwards, you’ll have access to the secret vault in Nightshift Forest. The vault can be found directly east of the main building that sits at the center of the point of interest. Simply follow the steps down and you will be met with a glowing orange door, ready and waiting to be opened.

When you’re inside the vault, you’ll be presented with a Typhoon Blade stand, along with plenty of rare chests, Elemental chests, and Slurp Barrels. If you manage to fight off any opposition you may encounter along the way, your efforts will be rewarded.

Now you know how to gain access to the Nightshift Forest secret vault, you can get your next Fortnite match off to a strong start!
